Seed Library
Maitland Seed Library is a partnership between Maitland City Library and Slow Food Hunter Valley.
Seeds can be borrowed, planted and enjoyed. The idea is to leave a portion of the crop to go to seed, harvest and dry the seeds, returning them to the Seed Library for others to borrow and to grow.
Read more about the partnership between Slow Food Hunter Valley and Maitland City Library and find out further information about how the Seed Library operates.
Slow Food Hunter Valley also produces a seasonal newsletter, The Maitland Sprout.
The current range of seed varieties available from the Seed Library are displayed in the Seed Library Catalogue. To choose your seeds firstly register for Seed Library membership.
