  • Free library collectibles for members
  • Celebrate our libraries at special events

Did you know the Maitland library service started in 1946? That makes us 80 years old this year!

To celebrate, we have a set of limited edition commemorative pieces for current and new members to collect. They will be available at all four branches from Thursday 30 July onwards, but numbers are limited.

Want to be among the first? The full range will be available at the Rutherford Open Day on Thursday 30 July and at Librarians Live on Friday 31 July.

Commemorative Tote Bag

A roomy limited edition tote, big enough for a solid stack of loans and a nod to 80 years of reading in Maitland. Available to all members. Outside our launch events, the only way to get yours is to return a borrowed item, free while stocks last.

Vintage style paper borrowing slip

A throwback to the borrowing cards Maitland library books once carried. Borrowing a book for the first time this month? Ask for yours in branch, then collect a stamp at each of our four branches as you go.

Maitland Libraries Collection Postcards

A set of limited edition postcards drawn from our collections, with a different design to find at each branch. A total of six to collect and free to take while you are in. One per customer per visit.

Rutherford Open Day. Thursday 30 July, 11am.
A morning of activities, displays and free morning tea to launch our anniversary season. Bring a friend who signs up as a member on the day for your chance to win!
