Love Objects - Emily Maguire
Love Objects - Emily Maguire
Look Who's Talking - Thursday 8 July 6.00pm - 8.00pm - $27.50
Nic, a 45-year-old amateur nail artist and trivia buff has enough stuff in her house to fill a Big W three times over. She is emotionally tied to each item and is lost and betrayed when her niece removes the newspapers, cat tins, pens and other items that adorned the house. Love Objects opens a conversation on classism, the value of possessions and what we do to fill empty spaces.
Emily Maguire is the author of six novels including the Stella Prize shortlisted. An Isolated Incident. She works as a mentor to young and emerging writers. She has published extensively on sex, feminism, culture, and literature.
