Language is an amazing tool, but there are many ways to communicate.
We are looking at Runes, Story Cubes and an activity about "seeing" with your hands.
- Viking Runes provide a different alphabet to use to tell a story. Use this Instructions for Runes activity and keep your family and friends guessing what the story is about.
- Story Cubes are so much fun - you can draw pictures and paste them onto as many sides of a cube as you like and then roll them around to create many stories. The Instructions for Make a Story Cube activity will tell you what to do.
- Story Box activity can provide hours of story telling fun. You don't need much. The Instructions for What can you "see" with your hands? tells you how to get started.
- Don't let all the great stories you made up go to waste. Why not start a story book of your own. If you tried Make a Scene in your yard then you can take a picture of it, paste into your story book and write down the stories about the scene. You can do the same with all the fun activities you tried on this page.
