Poverty and Prosperity
With 100 businesses, major seats of religion and a railway, Maitland was booming in 1843, second only to Sydney in size and importance. Gain an insight into this period of Maitland’s history through the eyes of historian and heritage practitioner Patrick Wilson, and discover more about how an exciting local project Poverty and Prosperity is shedding new light on the development of Central Maitland
